Meet Andy, a stunning 16.1-hand Westphalian gelding with three exceptional gaits, a kind personality, and all the ingredients to be someone’s next dressage partner. Sired by Prado and out of Rosie Royal (unpapered), Andy combines quality movement with a willing, trainable attitude.

 

Andy was originally started in the jumper ring before finding his true calling in dressage, where he has excelled. He offers three expressive, uphill gaits with natural elasticity, is confidently started on flying changes, has quality lateral work, and demonstrates impressive extension. He goes beautifully in either a snaffle or double bridle.

 

Soft, responsive, and light off the aids, but also forgiving in the contact. While he is not suitable for a beginner due to his sensitivity and forward-thinking way of going, he is not hot or difficult. Instead, he is an athletic, powerful ride- best suited for an intermediate or experienced rider looking to return to the show ring or enjoy a quality schoolmaster at home.

 

Although he does not have a competition record, that is simply because his previous rider chose not to campaign him—not because of any limitation on his part.  At this time, he is ready to show second level and is schooling third level.

 

Outside the arena, Andy is just as enjoyable. He hacks out confidently, is the same horse on and off the property, and has a wonderful, affectionate personality. He thrives on attention and genuinely enjoys interacting with people.
