My Story
Horses have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up riding Morgans and an OTTB gelding doing 4-H, local hunter/jumper shows, and trail riding. Horses have always been a big part of my life!

During college and graduate school, I taught riding lessons for seven years at an elite hunter/jumper barn. Working with riders of all ages taught me how important it is to understand both the horse and the person looking for their next partner. A good match is about much more than the horses's resume- it is about temperament, goals, experience, and the life a horse will have after the sale.
I started Annie’s Thoroughbred Listings page on Facebook in 2015 after becoming involved with helping at-risk OTTBs find safe, appropriate homes after racing. Eventually, this grew into marketing sporthorses and other quality horses.

My own horses are a big part of why I do this. In 2014, I purchased my OTTB from one of the owners I worked with in Louisiana after she was at risk of ending up in a kill pen. I bought her for $300 and that included transportation to my barn and a coggins (remember those days lol). The seller I bought her from asked me if I would help her find other OTTB homes (this is when you could still sell OTTBs on Facebook - specifically OTTB CONNECT group) and eventually led to me starting the Facebook page in 2015.
In 2025, I purchased my draft cross from another long-time seller/client —an example of the long-term relationships and trust that have come from this community.

Today, I enjoy foxhunting, low-level eventing, and trail riding with my own horses. I understand both sides of the process: the excitement of finding the right horse and the importance of finding the right home.

My goal with Annie’s Thoroughbred Listings to help owners showcase their horses honestly and professionally, while helping potential buyers find horses that are a good fit. With coming up on over 11 yearas of experience, I have enjoyed every sale and every time the right horse finds the right home!
