He has an excellent feel, is incredibly comfortable to ride, and stays calm and focused regardless of rider nerves or energy. This makes him an outstanding investment horse to bring along in nearly any discipline.

 

Rasta is well suited for English or Western dressage, working equitation, eventing, or the jumper ring. On the flat, he is balanced and consistent with a rhythmic, adjustable way of going. Over fences, he is careful, brave and rateable in both stadium and cross-country.

 

An accomplished foxhunter, Rasta is comfortable in any flight and would be suitable as a whip, huntsman’s horse, or flight leader. He is traffic-safe, naturally bold, and truly enjoys having a job.

 

He offers the perfect balance of “whoa” and “go” — responsive without being reactive. Rasta goes happily both English and Western, is soft in the bridle, responsive to the leg, opens and closes gates, and works livestock with ease.

 

Rastafari has served as a pickup horse at major events including the NFR, is exceptionally dependable in high-pressure environments, and will confidently pony horses, colts, and young stock. He also sits and lies down on cue from the ground and under saddle , further showcasing his trainability, trust, and excellent mind.

 

On the trail, he is an absolute dream — surefooted, relaxed, and confident, whether riding alone or in a group, leading or following. Excellent ground manners: ties quietly, stands for vet and farrier, and trailers without issue. No known vices, injuries or soundness issues.
