If you’re looking for a truly versatile, dependable partner, Sly is your guy. This handsome black-and-white paint gelding has done a little bit of everything and excels in multiple disciplines.  He is the same honest horse every day, he does not require regular work to stay consistent.  Anyone can ride this guy!

 

Sly is a proven foxhunter—fantastic with hounds, confident at checks, and equally comfortable hunting drag or live. He has a lovely ground covering walk. He’s brave, sensible, and reliable enough to be a staff horse or confidently lead a flight.

 

In addition to the hunt field, Sly is well-suited for a young rider or adult amateur looking to event or do the jumpers. He’s very brave, straightforward, and willing, with experience jumping up to 3’ in stadium with talent to move up (video coming soon).  He has good jumping ability and plenty of scope!  He is a horse that can take a joke and is tolerant of mistakes.

 

Sly prefers a varied lifestyle—foxhunting, hunter paces, trail rides, shows, clinics and hacking out— happy to go to work in the arena when asked but I do think he would eventually get sour being limited to dressage every day, for example. He’s sound, with no known quirks or vices, and is as dependable as they come.

 

A rare, all-around horse with the brain, bravery, and experience to take care of his rider while still being fun and capable.
