Salta is a fancy dude who sold for $100k as a two year old and he retired in May of 2025. Coming off of the track, he was given some time to decompress and be with horse friends.  He is one of the easiest horses to handle in the barn and he has quickly become a barn favorite with his kind eye and gentle demeanor. He really aims to please and enjoys all the human attention he can get.

 

Under saddle, he is a tad more whoa than go however he has a very large motor - you can feel the push and lift when he carries himself correctly. He is currently WTC and schooling small courses - the fencework he picked up super quickly. He is brave and adjustable to the fences and he has a BIG jump.

 

The more his body and education develop, I have no doubt that this guy is going to go on and do big, big things. Generally, he is the same ride every day. If he is going to spook at something, you know it is coming as he looks at it, processes it and decides if it is worth side stepping away from. He is quiet and straightforward but with the motor, he is best recommended for a solid intermediate working with a trainer. No vices.
