Steady, reliable, and incredibly forgiving, he’s suitable for beginners, yet athletic and skilled enough to be highly competitive in dressage, eventing, or in the hunter/jumper rings. Would be a great investment horse for someone to bring along in any discipline. He doesn’t react to nervous or electric riders and remains calm and focused under any seat.

 

Nox has the brain and stamina to make a fantastic foxhunter in any flight, and would even be suitable as a whip or flight leader.  He has been foxhunting out in Montana in Big Sky Country, as well as Kansas and did great!  He will continue to hunt when he is back in North Carolina. He’s traffic-safe, naturally bold, and loves having a job.

 

On the flat, Nox is consistent and balanced, with a rhythmic, rateable jump — brave in both stadium and cross-country phases. He’s a willing, safe partner for juniors or amateur riders to bring along in any discipline.

 

He’s the perfect balance of “whoa” and “go” — responsive without being reactive. Nox goes both English and Western, is soft in the bridle, responsive to leg, and even opens gates with ease. He has a great aptitude for obstacle work, making him a strong working equitation candidate.

 

On the trail, he’s a dream — surefooted, relaxed, and confident whether alone or in a group, leading or following. Excellent ground manners: ties, stands for the vet and farrier, trailers like a pro. No vices or known injuries.
